Sáng nay, mình thấy trên blog của Joe Brinkman đã có thông báo về việc release của DNN 5.5.0.

Hôm nay, mình thấy có 1 số entry của các công ty chuyên làm module DNN than phiền về một số vấn đề khi dùng các module của họ cho các DNNversion mới như 5.4.0 mới ra đời. Họ nói rằng DNN Corp không có dành thời gian hay thông báo cho các third party về những thay đổi của các framework mới nhằm giúp họ có những điều chỉnh các module cho phù hợp. Do đó, các module của họ bị lỗi khi cài trên các version mới này. Ví dụ như có những hàm đã bị xóa đi hay thay đổi chẳng hạn.

Mình mới đọc được thông tin DNN version 05.03.00 đã được release. Thực sự sửng sốt. Nhanh quá. Chưa kịp cài DNN 5.2 mà đã có 5.3 rồi.

Theo như thông báo thì có 1 số issue trên version 05.03.00 này. Các bạn nên coi thông tin chi tiết tại.

Trên site của mình, Dotnetnuke Corp đã tổ chức cuộc thi thiết kế skin cho site DNN version 5. Đây là kì thi thứ 2 được tổ chức.

The DotNetNuke Experience Team is proud to present the second official DotNetNuke skinning contest.

In 2004 DotNetNuke introduced a powerful and flexible skinning engine built specifically with designers in mind.  With the launch of version 2.1.2 we had our first skinning contest which featured the work of many talented developers and designers. Many great looking skins were produced including the grand prize winner, Tyler Fawcett’s oft-imitated, stylish and sleek Tranquility skin.  DotNetNuke 5 brings skinning to a new level with the introduction of a versionable manifest and new opportunties including built-in access to telerik controls (for licensed designers).

For this year’s contest we have adapted the rules to better promote the work of designers and support the DotNetNuke community. Designers are invited to submit their entries in the form of a contribution to the project. After the contest, submitted skins will be available for the community to download and use under the standard DotNetNuke Community Edition license.  Skins will be made available through a "gallery" which will provide ongoing recognition and links for contributing designers.

Our contest entries will be evaluated in each of four categoriesby three highly qualified and unbiased judges,  We are fortunate to have the talents of Morten Rand-Hendriksen, Robert Ian Axford and Wiliam Charlton.  Additionally, a public vote will choose an overall community favorite from the finalists selected by our judges.

There is an awesome collection of prizes for the winners and runners up in each category and the community favorite.  There will also be some random prizes awarded for community voting when the finalists have been selected!

Mới đây, qua dotnetnuke.com, mình mới biết có 1 site về documentation cho DNN mới được tạo ra. Site này có dạng như wiki. Nó có mục đích cung cấp các thông tin cần thiết về DNN như:

-Các kiến thức cơ bản về DNN.

-Install và maintenance.

-Phát triển module, skin, provider…

Do mới ra mắt nên các dữ liệu trên site còn ít. Nhưng theo thời gian thì các thông tin ở đây sẽ rất có ích cho các bạn mới tìm hiểu về DNN.
